photo of the week:

They were just hanging out, watching a show while the girls were napping…it was just the cutest thing, maybe ever.
We’re all recovering from our various ailments…but we’re not quite better yet. Nobody has had a fever in a day, so that’s good, right??
Sam was just flipping out about Barney (yes, that Barney) because he JUST realized he is a dinosaur, so now he is referring to him as "Barney the T-Rex".
Jane has started responding to most comments with "Yes I AM." Jane, you look tired. "yes, I AM tired." Jane, you are so funny. "Yes, I AM so funny." And if that isn’t enough, when she is happy about something she says, "yippee yippee!!" But she puts the stress on the first syllable, so it comes out as "YIPee YIPee!" I could seriously eat her up.
At the grocery store last night Sam was sitting in the back of the cart, on his knees. When we were scanning the groceries and I took him out, I knew his feet had pins and needles because he started bouncing from foot to foot and he told me, "Mom, my feet have a fever! I have a FEET FEVER!!"
Have a new lens for my camera arriving today…I could NOT be more excited. Wide angle, macro, Big wide aperture…SO excited. I think this will be invaluable with my portrait sessions, especially the newborn ones. Wait…does anybody care? Hello? Hello?
In an effort to do more reading (scrapbook magazines not counting) I picked up the first installment of James Patterson’s Women’s Murder Club series. I am LOVING it. Before I had kids I would devour books…but the little ankle-biters hardly ever give me a moments peace…but I am starting to make time for it again, and the more I do, the more I realize how much I NEED to. Although, with no more Harry Potters, it’s barely worth the effort. But I’ll muddle through somehow.
Rebecca is coming over tomorrow and we’re hanging out for the day (and Beck, I will try NOT to turn the brie into a hockey puck this time) and we’re taking a day trip on Sunday to Connecticut. For no reason except to visit. Which, actually, is the very best reason!
And speaking of Connecticut, I made a MAJOR boo boo and missed Cousin Kate’s birthday on Tuesday….so in lieu of actual birthday cake, here’s a little Eddie Izzard Cake or Death for her….
